    Because the Butlers were running a fuel injected engine, they were put into the Modern 2WD class. They have since reinstalled a carburetted engine and returned to the Classic class.

    Global Security Matrimonial Trophy (highest placed husband and wife team overall) Car 315 Tony Butler/Jo Butler Holden Cheetah.

    Tony and Jo were 10th out of a field of 50 cars and only 27 seconds from a 3rd placing in the Metalman Classic 2WD category.

    Tony and Jo were 11th out of a field of 45 cars. With only 750km on a new engine, the 13 second difference between 1st and 2nd was an excellent result.
